An active connection is achieved by connecting a DPM to a PC running DPM Manager, using a USB cable, and either uploadiing or downloading a configuration, or by clicking the Connect button in DPM Manager. When you have an active connection, the status bar displays "Online" and any changes you make affect the audio real time, and are automatically saved to the DPM's flash memory.
