Presets Tab

The Presets tab gives you the ability to customize various Audio and Control presets, which can be recalled to easily reconfigure your DPM to a desired setup.

Audio Presets

  1. Preset Type Drop-down – Click to select Audio.
  2. Radio-button Selection – Click the radio-button of the Preset you wish to recall. Selecting a Preset using the radio-button recalls that Preset. This allows you to create or modify another Preset without recalling it.
  3. Parameter Headings – The heading row provides the system parameters available to the Audio Presets.
    1. ID – The sequential number of the Preset. Cannot be changed.
    2. Name – The descriptive name of the Preset. There are six factory supplied names. You can edit any of the Names including the factory-supplied names.
    3. Source – The name of the input Source. Click a Source name to display a list of available Sources from which you can make your selection.
    4. Format – The Format of the Source. Click a Format name to display a list of available Formats from which you can make your selection. The available Formats depend on the Source selection.
    5. EQ – One of the three EQ scenarios. Click an EQ scenario letter to display the list of EQ scenarios from which you can make your selection.
    6. Bass Mgmt – Click the check box to enable or disable Bass Management for the Preset. See the Speaker tab for more information.
    7. NOTE:  If Bass Management is enabled on the Sub Speaker tab, it is always on. If it is not enabled on the Sub Speaker tab, it will only be enabled with presets that have this checked.

    8. Un-mute – If the Master Mute is on when the preset is activated, it will be automatically un-mute.
    9. Gain Offset dB – Applies this offset to all output channels when the preset is activated (does not change Master Volume). This provides a preset-dependant gain change to all channels.
    10. Use Last Volume – If this is checked, when you activate the preset, the Master Volume setting the preset used when it was last activated, is applied.
    11. Surr Offset – This offset is applied to all surround channel gains when the preset is activated. It provides a preset-dependant gain change to surround channels only.
    12. Fade s –This is the Fade time, in seconds, between preset changes. The outgoing preset fade time is combined with the incoming preset fade time.
    13. Delay ms – This is the Master Delay applied to all channels when this preset is active.
    14. Relay 1 –The selected action is taken on the Relay 1 output when the preset is activated as follows:
      • Disabled – The relay is not in use.
      • Open – NO (normally open) connection is opened, NC (normally closed) connection is closed
      • Close – NO (normally open) connection is closed, NC (normally closed) connection is opened
      • Pulse –NO connection is closed for 500ms, NC connection is opened for 500 ms
    15. Relay 2 – See Relay 1
  4. Input Source – These graphics show the specific connector pin each channel is connected to.
  5. Stereo – This control is only shown when the selected Input Source is Line In (L/R). Use to select the input sensitivity : 4 dBu (Pro) or -10 dBV (Consumer).
  6. MIC – This control is only shown when the selected Input Source is Mic/Line. Use to adjust the input gain and turn on phantom power to the mic when the preset is selected.

 

Control Presets

  1. Preset Type Drop-down – Click to select Control.
  2. Activate Buttons – Click the Activate button to perform the action defined for the Preset.
  3. Control Headings – .
    1. ID – The sequential number of the Preset. Cannot be changed.
    2. Name – The descriptive name of the Preset. There are two factory supplied names. You can edit any of the Names including the factory-supplied names.
    3. Type – The description of the action that takes place when the Activate button is clicked. Click a Type name to display a list of available actions from which you can make your selection.
    4. Relay 1 and 2 – See the description under Audio Presets.
